What Does "Walking With God" Look Like?

What does Walking with God look like? </p><p>  1.   Enoch walked with God - Genesis 5:24</p><p>  •  Hebrews 11:5-6 </p><p>  •  He pleased God </p><p>  •  He drew near to God </p><p>  •  He believed God exists </p><p>  •  He believed God rewards those who seek Him</p><p><br></p><p>  2.   Noah takes with God - Genesis 6:9</p><p>  •  Hebrews 11:7 (4 things)</p><p>  •  He believed concerning events never seen before </p><p>  •  He built an ark bc of his reverent fear of God </p><p>  •  He condemned the unbelieving world </p><p>  •  He became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith </p><p><br></p><p>  3.  Abraham, Moses, & David walked with God -</p><p><br></p><p>  4.  All of God’s children are called to walk w/ God - II Corinthians 5:7 - WE WALK BY FAITH; Colossians 2:6-7 - AS WE RECEIVED CHRIST JESUS SO WALK IN HIM; I John 2:6 - THE ONE WHO SAYS HE ABIDES IN CHRIST OUGHT TO WALK IN THE SAME MANNER AS JESUS WALKED </p><p><br></p><p>II. Three Ways to Walk with God - Ephesians 5:1-21</p><p>  1.   Walk in the Way of Love - vv. 1-7 </p><p>  •  Recognize God’s purity - </p><p>  •  Reject Humanity’s perversion </p><p>  •  Repentance for the disobedient - </p><p><br></p><p>  2.   Walk in the Way of Light - vv. 8-14 </p><p>  •  The Shift…to the light (8-10)</p><p>  •  The Shine…of the light (11-14)</p><p>  •  John 1; John 3; John 8:12</p><p><br></p><p>  3.  Walk in the Way of Wisdom - vv. 15-21 </p><p>  •  Careful with our use of time (15-17)</p><p>  •  Controlled by the Holy Spirit (18-21) </p><p>  •  Proverbs 1:7; Luke wisdom is vindicated by her children; Romans 1 - professing to be wise; James 1:5</p><p><br></p>
