Six-Foot-Nine Tight End Breakout | Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Football News

Six-foot-nine tight end Kevin Roche Jr., who didn’t play football in high school, is exploding onto the college scene at Georgia Tech—blocking field goals, nearly blocking punts, and hauling in six catches against Tennessee, a career-high for a Yellow Jackets tight end this century. With parents who were Division I athletes and a leaping ability honed by his mother, Roche’s raw athleticism is turning heads. Now fully committed to the sport, Roche’s transformation from overlooked athlete to breakout star is rewriting the playbook on how college football talent can emerge.
