<p>Catherine Hardwicke is an award-winning film director, screenwriter, and production designer, best known as the visionary director behind the cultural phenomenon Twilight, which launched a multi-billion dollar global blockbuster franchise and broke records for the biggest opening weekend for a female director. She made an impressive leap to the director&#39;s chair with the critically-acclaimed indie drama Thirteen, which won the Directing Award at the Sundance Film Festival, and has since directed prominent films like Lords of Dogtown, The Nativity Story, and Red Riding Hood. </p><p><br></p><p>A former architect who previously worked for decades as a prolific production designer for legendary directors like Richard Linklater, Cameron Crowe, and David O.
