Corporate investors are reshaping AI financing by bundling equity with cloud credits, compute access, and co-selling. Amazon committed up to $4 billion to Anthropic and tied the deal to AWS, Trainium, Inferentia, and Amazon Bedrock distribution. Google invested about $2 billion in Anthropic and extended its Google Cloud partnership, while Microsoft linked OpenAI to Azure through a multibillion investment. Salesforce Ventures expanded its Generative AI Fund to $500 million and backed companies such as Cohere and Hugging Face, connecting them to AppExchange. Oracle invested in Cohere and positioned Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for model training and inference. Nvidia’s NVentures and Inception programs combine capital and ecosystem support to standardize workloads on its GPUs. Founders now evaluate valuation alongside platform lock-in, multi-cloud flexibility, distribution reach, and evolving term sheets that include multi-year cloud commitments and co-selling.
