LAFC vs NYCFC Postgame: Walta Worldie, Sonny’s Last-Kick Chance & Why This System Isn’t Working

Darren and Vince react to LAFC’s frustrating draw at NYCFC, highlighted by Leo Walta’s spectacular set-piece goal, Hugo Lloris’ saves, and a last-second chance that could have stolen a win. Despite taking four points this week, the performances under Xavi aren’t improving. Players are being used out of position—especially Denis Bouanga at center forward—and there's a lack of chance creation, cohesion, and ball progression. LAFC spent long stretches without shots and looked worse against a bad opponent. For the week, the results are good enough, but for the project to be good enough to do anything in the playoffs, we're not there, and we'll see if anything changes in a big El Trafico matchup next week.
