What is haptotherapy?
Haptherapy, also known as haptonomy, is a therapeutic approach that focuses on restoring emotional and physical balance by working with the body's sensations and feelings. It helps individuals become more aware of their boundaries, emotions, and how they experience themselves in both personal and professional contexts.
Haptotherapy originated in the Netherlands and is not very well known outside the Netherlands. And for that reason a lot of people who dont speak Dutch are not familiar with it. To make this form of therapy accessible for more people I decided to make an episode in English!
My friend Marjolijn agreed to interview me about my work and with her I talk about this experience-based form of therapy: what is it, when do you go to see a haptotherapist and what can be the results of haptotherapy.
I'd like to send a heartfelt thank you to Marjolijn Vlug for her contribution to this episode. I couldn’t have done it without you!
You can find Marjolijn here: www.marjolijnvlug.nl
