9/11 twenty-five years later. A generation has grown up with no memory of that morning. In this episode I sit with the footage, the posts, the commemorations, and my own memories of September 11, 2001.I walk through videos and images from the day—the impacts, the collapses of the Twin Towers and WTC 7, President Bush being told the news, the extraordinary courage of first responders, and I talk about what the images from that day still do to people who lived through it. I also look at how conspiracy theories around 9/11 have grown larger, more accessible, and more mainstream over the last quarter century, and the real damage they have done to victims’ families, to our understanding of what happened, and to the pursuit of truth.This is not a recap of the attacks.
