Episode 128: Spiritual Gatekeeper: Are You Guarding What You Allow Into Your Home?

Lately, God has been opening my eyes to spiritual warfare and our authority in Christ in a way I haven’t experienced before.

It actually started while I was reading The Witch and the Lamb. There is a much bigger conversation around spiritual warfare that I think we need to have, and we WILL, but I’m still learning, praying and digging into Scripture before I go there.

But it did leave me thinking about something I couldn’t shake:

What am I allowing through the gates of my life and my home?

As women, we have incredible spiritual influence within our homes. That doesn’t mean controlling our husbands or teenagers, and it certainly doesn’t mean the spiritual health of our entire family rests on our shoulders. Our authority comes from Jesus.

But we do have a responsibility to pay attention.

In this episode, I’m sharing what God has been teaching me about discernment, boundaries and becoming more intentional about guarding what He has entrusted to me.

My prayer is that you finish this episode asking God one simple question:

“Lord, what have I been giving access to that You are asking me to guard?”

Scriptures mentioned in this episode:

Proverbs 14:1
“The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.”

Proverbs 31:27
“She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.”

Deuteronomy 6:6–7
“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children…”

Proverbs 4:24
“Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.”

James 3:16–18
“For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice…” followed by James’ description of wisdom from heaven as pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

James 1:5
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God…”

Matthew 7:6
“Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs…”

✨ Something NEW is coming for your skin!

I can finally share more about the 3-part beauty system I’ve been personally testing!

It includes a drinkable Bioactive
