Baptized in Crocodile Waters: A Miracle Story

This is a true story of divine protection and answered prayer in the face of real danger. When a river turned too deadly to enter, a small church in Papua New Guinea discovered what a modern day miracle looks like when faith is put to the test.

Forty people in a remote village up the Tarama River were ready for baptism, but no one had set foot in the water in five or six years. Crocodiles had made the river too dangerous even for washing clothes or fishing, and every alternative the church board considered fell short. With no safe option left, the church elders and a group of fourth-year theology students made a decision that stunned the watching village: they linked hands and stood in the river themselves while the baptisms took place, immersed for over an hour as hundreds of onlookers watched.
