Suzanne Mother's Day disappearance in 2020 prompted an extensive investigation that initially led to murder charges against her husband, Barry Morphew, which were later dismissed without prejudice. Her remains were then discovered in September 2023 in Saguache County, leading officials to rule her death a homicide caused by lethal intoxication from animal tranquilizers and reinstating intense legal scrutiny on the case.
