Life Force, Porn Culture & Intrusive Thoughts with Joaquin Escobar — Part 2 of 6 | Classics Rotation

Joaquin Escobar and the host turn to what they see as modern society's biggest drain on vital energy: free online porn, "fast food dating," degrading music and media, and the thoughts we assume are our own. Listen for Joaquin's take on the Taoist idea of transmuting sexual energy, and for the theme that runs through this part: you are not your thoughts.

Joaquin mentions Mantak Chia, the Thailand-based teacher whose online courses and Zoom classes he says he has taken, and says semen retention is where energy cultivation such as Tai Chi and Qigong meets what he calls society's porn-addicted wall. The host paraphrases her view that each orgasm spends life force from a personal battery, and Joaquin says Taoism, inner alchemy and Freemasonry all teach that vital essence should be transmuted, which he believes lets a practitioner die consciously and know where they are going rather than reincarnate. Asked why modern life seems designed this way, he describes the body as a "metaphysical onion" weakened by some music, alcohol and online content, admits he still plays music he considers aura-degrading at the gym, contrasts it with Chris Stapleton and Maggie Rogers, and the two discuss 440 Hz tuning and his idea that nostalgia can be attachment to a "bad frequency." The host brings up a whistleblower video on directed energy weapons and the claimed "voice of God" technology, and recalls a Korean friend's father who advised never believing what you think. Joaquin recounts an energy healer whose Kundalini activation convinced a skeptical friend, and repeats her advice that intrusive thoughts are psychic projections to let go of. The host describes a friend's road rage and says she avoids violent TV, and Joaquin argues that overreacting in traffic is really about people's own lives.
