Righteousness from God based on Faith

We discuss the lectionary including Exodus 20 the giving of the law and Phillippians 3 Paul's confession of the surpassing value of knowing Yeshua Ha Meshiach/Christ Jesus, my Lord. We discuss in Exodus 20:18-19 the Israelites fear of the LORD at Mt Sinai, and Moses retort Ex 20:20 "do not be afraid for God has come only to test you and to put fear of him upon you so that you do not sin."  Paul in Phil 3: 6 describes himself "as to righteousness under the law, blameless" but regards that as Phil 3:8-9 , "rubbish in order that I may gain Messiah/Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law but one that comes through faith in Messiah/Christ, the righteousness from God based on faith."
