Merry Lewis
Meriwether Lewis Episode 16 Merry Lewis: We have here a man who was an American explorer, soldier, free mason and politician. He led one of the most important exploration teams in US history and was rewarded for a job well done. While on his way to get more funding for his new position as Governor, he died mysteriously at a small inn named Grinder's Stand 70 miles (110km) southwest of Nashville, Tennessee. Was it suicide? Disease? Robbery? A crime of passion? Or was he assassinated for “knowing too much”?
