Jay Bhattacharya did not soften it.
Tony Fauci was out of his lane, he said, and used that power to tell America one thing when he really thought another.
The clip tied the charge to an alleged 82 percent miscarriage rate among pregnant women taking the COVID shot, and to a cover-up of how serious that number was. Bhattacharya’s point was larger than one statistic. Fauci owed the public the thoughts he only shared off-camera.

The Two Scripts
“I’m glad his words now can be heard by the American people... it’s SHOCKING to me that he was sharing private thoughts and that, when he was out in public—and he was out in the public A LOT—he didn’t share those private thoughts with the American public.”
“Tony Fauci was a MAJOR figure in trying to get those COVID shots past the finish line. He owed the American public some transparency.”
That is the indictment. A man who sold certainty on air while running a different conversation in the back room.
If the private file and the press conference do not match, what was the public being treated as?
Why This Lands on Rand Paul’s Desk
Paul spent the Fauci years asking the questions the rest of the Senate treated as etiquette violations. Funding. Gain of function. Mandates. The habit of a public-health courtier who never had to live with a correction.
