Is Having an Independent Pedal Necessary for Practicing Bach's Trio Sonatas (SOPP788)

I think you know this builder well, so I wanted to get your opinion on this configuration as a practice instrument.</p><p>Is having an independent pedal necessary for practicing trio sonatas?
