Shiftheads - Street Fighter Looks Right. Does It Play Right?

Deciding what to watch? Steve Stebbing helps sort promising appearances from movies worth your evening. Street Fighter has the look he wanted, but something underneath lets him down. Whalefall offers a different gamble: can a man trapped inside a whale sustain an entire survival movie?

A Norm Macdonald documentary promises more than another appreciation of the punchlines. Find out what makes its portrait personal, while a very different documentary puts an unexpected housemate alongside Elizabeth Holmes before prison. Steve recommends knowing as little as possible about that one.

Returning to Marvel or Friday the 13th means carrying some expectations. Vision Quest and Crystal Lake give Steve specific performances to point toward, alongside a Vancouver festival favourite featuring Pedro Pascal. There are options here for more than one kind of movie night.
