The Son and his Sabbath

What is God doing in the world today? When we consider disasters, disease, decay and even death, we may ask this question. As Jesus heals a man who has been paralysed for 38 years on the Sabbath, he shows us that God is at work redeeming and re-making a broken world marred by the effects of sin. And the focal point of this work today is Jesus, who does the Father’s work – giving us the rest we were made for and the wonderful future hope of life.
