Monkey Puzzle

The children's book Monkey Puzzle tells the story of a lost monkey who seeks the help of a butterfly to find his mother. The butterfly repeatedly leads the protagonist to the wrong animals, such as an elephant, a snake, and a spider, because she does not realize that the mother resembles her child. This confusion stems from the fact that the butterfly’s own offspring look different from her. After several failed attempts, the butterfly finally understands the physical similarities needed to identify the correct family members. The story concludes happily when the monkey is reunited with his father and mother in the jungle.
