Suggest Guests For Our Podcast: https://forms.gle/ytt6a9jxe8YwzsGD6 Kunda Dixit, one of Nepal's prominent journalists, joins the podcast for a wide-ranging conversation on journalism in Nepal, climate change, sustainable development, artificial intelligence, politics, social media, and the environmental challenges facing the country. The conversation explores how journalism in Nepal has evolved over the years and what it was like reporting during the insurgency period. Kunda discusses press freedom, censorship, journalistic neutrality, and how social media and AI are beginning to influence both politics and journalism. The discussion also moves into climate change in Nepal and whether the climate change narrative can sometimes be misunderstood or misused. Kunda examines the Rasuwa flood, environmental risks, air pollution and its effect on the mountains, deforestation, afforestation, and the growing challenges surrounding sustainable development in Nepal. Can Nepal pursue fast development while still protecting the environment? Has “दिगो विकास” become more of a slogan than an actual development strategy? And how should journalists adapt as AI increasingly changes information, politics, and the media industry? Kunda also shares lessons from his experience in journalism, reflects on Nepal's development priorities, and offers advice to the next generation of journalists.
