Taxpayer-Funded Terrorism & AI Might Really Kill Us

The GOP midterm convention is under way. There is excitement at the prospect of refocusing the brand and the messaging that led to a "too-big-to-rig" win for Donald Trump; there are also some troubling things that are sneaking their way into that messaging. Since the convention is still ongoing, I'll wait to do a full review, but I have a couple of points I want to raise.

About three years ago, the known terrorist group, Hamas, murdered over 1,200 innocent men, women, and children in horrific, gruesome barbarity, and took 254 hostages in an effort to shield themselves from the righteous response that they expected. Among the dead were 46 Americans. Another 12 Americans were kidnapped and tortured for months before the United States and Israel managed to secure the release of those who survived the starvation and torture. Yet, the horror of the October 7th terror attack seems to be fading from the minds of Americans as antisemitism steps out of the shadows (let's be honest, it has always been there waiting for its chance to re-emerge) and support for Hamas seems to be growing. (I would point out that in true leftist propaganda fashion, "they" say support for the Palestinians, but then they ignore the fact that no one has suffered more at the hands of Hamas than the Palestinians. If you don't count the Oct. 7th victims.) And now, the State Department appears not only willing but eager to memory-hole the deadliest terrorist attack on Americans in a decade.

The companies, he wrote, "are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. . . . The people building AI earnestly believe that it could kill us all by the end of the decade."
