Bad News, Big Mouth, & the Road to Comedy | Gil Ozeri

Matt Buechele explores the strange cultural phenomenon of turning adorable animals into internet celebrities, why we become so invested in their lives, and what happens when our favorite feel-good stories start competing with an endless stream of bad news.

Then Matt is joined by writer, comedian, and actor Gil Ozeri, whose uniquely absurd comedy has made him a cult favorite through his legendary Snapchat videos, Big Mouth, Happy Endings, Comedy Bang! Bang!, and more. They talk about committing completely to a bit, creating comedy that's impossible to describe until you experience it, his unforgettable Bane impression, and the long, weird path to making a career out of making people laugh. They also discuss letting go of perfectionism, surviving a rapidly changing entertainment industry, and Gil makes predictions about the future of The Simpsons, Toy Story, and which fast-food chain is primed for a comeback.
