Ep 2.20 - Camping Redemption: Why We're NOT Selling the Camper

There are certain memories that become part of your family story, and sometimes they don't start out the way you expected.

Last year, we took our first camping trip with an 8-month-old and came home convinced that our desire for adventure and traveling was on hold... temporarily. (But truthfully, it felt like permanently.) It was draining and overwhelming, and as a result we decided to sell our truck-bed camper. If camping wasn't ever going to look the same again, what was the point?

Fast forward one year, and we just got home from camping with a toddler, our dog, and another baby on the way. Was it perfect? No. Redemption-filled? Absolutely.

In this episode, we share the special moments (and the chaos in between) that turned this trip into our camping redemption story. We talk about how we shifted our expectations before we even left home, what parenting has taught us about creating family traditions, and why some of life's best memories are made right smack dab in the middle of the messy seasons.
