The world wants you to chase the quick win, do a little bit of everything, and quit the second it gets tough. But that is the path of the dabbler, and a man without a way is destined to be blown around by every wind. Today, on this strategic Tuesday, we are breaking down the legendary teachings of Miyamoto Musashi and The Book of Five Rings—a book first introduced to me back in 2021 by Chase, the gentleman I do San Pedro with out in Peru. This book changed my life because Musashi teaches that victory is won well before the battle even begins. Here are the three raw principles of Musashi’s code that I live by and that you need to start executing to transition from a dabbler to a master:

Do nothing that is of no use: My right-hand man, assistant, and security trainer Sterling is barred from putting a single thing on my schedule unless it moves my family or ecosystem forward spiritually, physically, or financially. If it's a maybe, it’s a flat-out no. Stop wasting time on things that have no use, like playing poker with your buddies when you have other responsibilities to handle.

Master one way and understand it all: I love to train and I will always talk about God, but I am not a physical or spiritual coach. I have locked in on my one way: mastering financial literacy and education to be the greatest coach in the world. Find your one way and dominate it.

Perceive what the eye cannot see: When you lock in spiritually, physically, and financially, you develop deep discernment. You will see the blind spots and future threats that others ignore. People might call you overcautious or an asshole, but when you stand on your discernment, the truth always comes to light.

Today is your victory over yourself of yesterday; tomorrow is your victory over lesser men.
