Lindsay Clancy: Postpartum Psychosis

In summer of 2026 the world watched as a historic court case played out in Massachussets. Lindsay Clancy was on trial for murdering her three small children, and attempting to take her own life.

In this episode, our special guest Dr. Katie-Joy Winslow-Zimmerman returns to help us take a closer look at the different aspects of the case, including civil commitment laws, suicide risk assessment, postpartum psychosis, ethical use of the DSM 5-TR in non clinical situations, jury instructions, mental health care, and the insanity plea.
