The Lone Ranger - "Desert Murder" (Old Time Radio, 1940)

The Lone Ranger presents “Desert Murder,” originally broadcast August 7, 1940. This archival episode is numbered 1176 and stars Earle Graser as the Lone Ranger, with John Todd as Tonto.

Across the desert salt flats, the Lone Ranger and Tonto pursue two outlaws as stolen silver and a false accusation put a rancher in danger. The harsh landscape raises the stakes in this Earle Graser-era adventure from the Mutual Broadcasting System.

The Lone Ranger presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned and mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
