America & Israel are Fighting the Same Deep State Battle
<p>America and Israel are fighting the same battle: elected governments versus unelected power. A recent Washington Post report says senior U.S. commanders warned Secretary of War Pete Hegseth that renewing war with Iran would be “unsustainable.” Commanders should give candid private advice. The scandal is leaking that advice to pressure the elected leadership.America remains the most powerful military on earth. Costs must be explained. Policy is still decided by voters and the president they chose — not by officials who think their judgment should override an election.Israelis know this fight. For years, figures in the legal, security, intelligence, and bureaucratic establishments have blocked government policy while selective leaks shape the headlines. That pattern helped produce October 7: warnings withheld from Netanyahu, legal constraints slowing the response, then almost no accountability for the officials who failed. Terrorists must be punished. So must the officials who left Israel exposed. The mindset is the same in Washington and Jerusalem: voters don’t understand, elected leaders can’t be trusted, the professionals must save the country from itself. That is not democracy.Trump is the first U.S. president to confront this institutional power head-on. Netanyahu’s government is doing the same in Israel. The ferocity of the resistance is a sign the establishment feels threatened. In Israel it is no longer even “deep.” The Supreme Court shielding a fired attorney general and a former Military Advocate General after a damaging IDF leak; delayed October 7 investigations; religious soldiers punished while senior commanders walk away — the contradictions are now public.Meanwhile media and institutions obsess over “settler violence” and religious soldiers, while downplaying the 1,400-year jihadi ideology that murdered Jews on October 7. A Jewish majority wants national identity, victory over jihad, and government by election. That clashes with a globalist establishment that treats Jewish nationalism as a problem to restrain — including the idea of depending again on Ra’am.The question is simple: do voters control America and Israel, or do unelected establishments veto results they dislike? Judicial reform in Israel is about restoring democracy. Don’t despair. Vote for parties that will neuter the deep state. Strengthen your faith.
