<p>Brigadier General (res.) Oren Solomon is an October 7 hero. On the morning of the massacre he left home in the Gaza envelope with his son, not as a deployed unit but as a father and a fighter. They reached the Nova music festival area and Highway 232 and fought Hamas terrorists face to face for hours. With a handful of police officers they delayed the assault, blocked routes, evacuated civilians under fire, and helped save lives while the official army’s response was hours away.
