Rope-a-Dope in the Empire State

The Rita Cosby Show delivers a fast-paced, hard-hitting breakdown as the clock ticks down to the midterms on Columbus Day. With just three weeks until election day, Rita zeroes in on the high-stakes New York Governor debate between Bruce Blakeman and Kathy Hochul. Following a violent ICE-involved shooting in the Bronx involving a gang-affiliated repeat offender, local leaders including Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Congressional candidate Darializa Avila Chevalier demand an end to ICE operations while attacking NYPD leadership. Meanwhile, Donald Trump hits the trail in Ohio targeting progressive political hypocrisy, Tom Homan fires back at sanctuary city laws, and federal investigators execute a raid at Rep. Ilhan Omar’s D.C. home.
