Don’t lock in, lean in.
%%first_name%%,
It’s that time of year where you are championed to get aggressive about your goals before the year end.
You don’t want to take disappointment into the new year.
You’re looking forward to posting that highlight reel of all you’ve accomplished.
You don’t want to be the one who went hard in the gym for a month and fell off.
If we are honest, you’ve been locking into what you think is best. That’s why you quit the gym thirty days into the new year.
It’s why you create the entire 90 day plan but can’t commit to it.
Or build a business you have to sacrifice your mental health to get.
Locking sounds admirable. While I am not against discipline and focus, I want to encourage you to lean in.
But if you want to reach your end of year goals, the answer is to lean in, not lock in. Because you’ll always have to overextend yourself to reach a goal you created and asked God to bless it.
Lean into what God is directing you to do.
Leaning in is more promising than locking in. The lean in is protected from the problems that arise with locking in.
