Two weeks into the 2026 college football season, it’s time to challenge some of our preseason assumptions.

First, we look at where we may have been wrong, or at least too confident, on teams like Oregon, Texas Tech, Illinois, Washington, BYU and more. Then, we revisit our AP Top 25 ballot and talk through the teams that may deserve more love, including Mississippi State, Houston, Tulsa, Virginia, Boise State and North Dakota State.
