About Holiday Valley
Owned by: Win-Sum Ski Corp, which Holiday Valley’s website describes as “a closely held corporation owned by a small number of stockholders.”
Year founded: 1957 (opened Jan. 7, 1958)
Pass affiliations: None!
Base elevation: 1,514 feet (bottom of Snowpine Quad)
Summit elevation: 2,324 feet (top of Tannenbaum)
Vertical drop: 736 feet (skiing from the top of Tannenbaum to the bottom of Snowpine would be tricky but not impossible if a skier poached the summit-top walking trails and didn’t mind a little uphill; however, it would not be a great run; the most consistent quality vert would be lapping the Mardi Gras sixer, which is roughly 693 vertical feet.)
