Austin Mayor Kirk Watson says a deal to transfer the 141-acre Lion's Municipal golf course from the University of Texas over to the city is near completion, The City of Georgetown is considering pushing back the planned 2027 bond to at least 2028 following lower than expected property valuations and today's the deadline for signatures to be collected on a petition to close down two AISD middle schools in hopes of preventing a state takeover of the school district.
