Mercury in Scorpio and Venus Retrograde in Scorpio (#379)

This week we're working with 12 transits, highlighted by Mercury's transit into Scorpio and Venus beginning its retrograde in Scorpio at the Scorpio degree. Before Mercury settles into Scorpio for more than two months, the Sun and Mercury in Libra ask us to look at what's out of balance in our relationships, and at what each of us has at stake. A story about Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson shows how different those stakes can be. Then Mercury squares both planetary rulers of Scorpio on the same day, and there's no hiding. We're also asking what's at 29° in your astrological code, as Chiron and the Nodes linger at the final degree. What happens when we share the parts of ourselves we're most afraid to share?

(18:04) The Sun in Libra Trine Uranus Retrograde in Gemini 05° – September 26 – 29 (Saturday – Tuesday) – Monday, September 28.

(21:33) Mercury in Libra Trine the North Node Retrograde in Aquarius 29° – September 28 – 30 (Monday – Wednesday) – Tuesday, September 29.

(24:36) Mercury in Libra Opposite Chiron Retrograde in Aries 29° – September 28 – 30 (Monday – Wednesday) – Tuesday, September 29.

(27:18) Mercury in Scorpio – September 30 – December 6

Dates that Mercury transited through Scorpio previously:

November 18 – December 11, 2025 (20° - 29°)
October 6 – 29, 2025
October 13 – November 2, 2024
October 21 – November 9, 2023
October 29 – November 17, 2022
November 5 – 24, 2021

(43:29) Mercury in Scorpio Square Mars in Leo 02° – September 30 – October 3 (Wednesday – Saturday) – Friday, October 2.

(44:13) Mercury in Scorpio Square Pluto Retrograde in Aquarius 03° – September 30 – October 3 (Wednesday – Saturday) – Friday, October 2.

(54:48) Mars in Leo Trine Neptune Retrograde in Aries 02° – September 29 – October 4 (Tuesday – Sunday) – Friday, October 2.

(1:01:19) Venus Retrograde in Scorpio 08°29' – Saturday, October 3.

August 31, 2026 – Venus Enters its Retrograde Shadow in Libra 22°51'
October 3, 2026 – Venus Retrograde in Scorpio 08°29'
November 13, 2026 – Venus Direct in Libra 22°51'
December 15, 2026 – Venus Exits its Retrograde Shadow in Scorpio 08°29'

(1:06:05) The Sun in Libra Square the Moon in Cancer 10°21' at 6:25 AM PDT on Saturday, October 3.
