Held and Healed Animal Sanctuary, Where Animals Go to Live in Paradise

Hour 3 (10.14) 8:05 — Timmy received a sweet birthday letter from a nice guy from Newport named Joe Ruis who is a longtime Conway Jr listener and also a fan of King Taco. Meanwhile, the Dodgers are down but still not out. Timmy thinks they’re gonna win this game — he likes the odds of a 1% chance. Has LA officially fallen off the sporting map? Sure seems that way. Timmy can’t remember a worse week for all the Los Angeles teams.

8:20 — Dodgers lost to Milwaukee, now they need to beat them four straight games. It’s a difficult task but not impossible. The race to secure Orange County beaches against El Nino is on. There’s been a dramatic loss in sand, and it’s only getting worse. They’re bringing in 9,000 cubic yards of sand, or 15 million pounds, to try to save the coast from the local car park near the Pacific Coast Highway from erosion. Caltrans is working with state parks and the Coastal Commission to save our beaches. The beaches represent one third of the OC economy. Did you know? Amelia Earhart was a local? She lived on Toluca Lake! And the mystery of her disappearance could be solved within days.

8:35 — Timmy’s guests are Brian Pinkett and his wife Andreana Stoyanova, who run the California nonprofit Held and Healed Animal Sanctuary in Fallbrook. They take care of farm animals like pigs, ponies, tortoises, chickens, goats and more, and they’re hosting a fundraiser on their farm, called the Golden Hour at the Sanctuary, on Saturday October 17 at 40878 Daily Rd Fallbrook.

8:50 — Former KFI producer Kiki is back in the house. She now works up in Fresno, California’s fruit basket, for an ABC affiliate station, where all those Gen Z kids are apparently moving. Did she start a trend? She says Fresno is like the new Irvine. Timmy loves the blue-collar Fresno neighborhood of Clovis, where the hands are dirty and the money is clean.

Thanks for listening to Tim Conway Jr. on KFI! 🎙️
