SERIAL KILLER: Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer

In 1991, Jeffrey Dahmer was arrested at his Milwaukee apartment after seventeen men and boys were killed there over more than a decade, their remains hidden inside ordinary furniture and appliances. The case raised unresolved questions about whether repeated prior police contacts, including the return of a drugged fourteen-year-old boy to Dahmer's door, could have prevented specific later killings. No formal comprehensive review has fully answered that question.

Anyone with information about unresolved victim identifications from this case is asked to contact the Milwaukee Police Department cold case unit at 414-935-7360.
