135. Change Is The Only Constant: My journey from homeschooling to traditional schooling my kids
I have been crying a lot lately.
And honestly, this episode is one of the most personal ones I’ve shared on the podcast.
After years of homeschooling my boys, we made the decision to send them to traditional school this year. And while part of me knew it was the right decision for our family, that didn’t make it easy.
I talk about what actually went into making that decision, the identity I had built around being a homeschool mom, and the weird mix of grief, excitement, guilt, pride and uncertainty that came with stepping into something completely different.
Because sometimes following your intuition into a decision can be right and still be really hard.
This transition brought up way more for me than just questions about education. It made me question who I am in this next season of motherhood, what my role looks like now, and what happens when something that has been such a huge part of your identity suddenly changes.
I also talk about what this shift means for my business, my time, our family dynamic, and the unexpected opportunities that are starting to open up because of it.
Mostly, though, this episode is about change.
About letting go of the version of life you thought you were going to have.
About trusting yourself when you don't have all the answers.
