Patients discuss mental health with their primary care physicians all of the time. Staggeringly few, however, go on to receive care from mental health professionals. How much might that change if mental health professionals worked side by side with primary care physicians? It’s already happening in several locations around the country, especially in academic medical centers. Christina Moore, a psychologist, shares her experiences leading the effort in pediatrics at Dartmouth Health.
