The Women Who Are Waiting
Sarah had a promise from God—but she had been waiting a long time.
So she took matters into her own hands.
Hagar never asked to become part of Abraham and Sarah's complicated story. She was a servant caught in the middle of someone else's attempt to make God's promise happen. And when everything fell apart, Hagar found herself alone in the wilderness.
Two women. One promise. A whole lot of waiting, comparison, jealousy, and pain.
In this episode, we're looking at the story of Sarah and Hagar and asking what happens when we get tired of waiting on God. What happens when someone else's blessing makes us question our own story? And what do we do when we feel like God has forgotten us?
Because in the middle of Hagar's wilderness, she discovers something that changes everything: God sees her.
Maybe waiting doesn't mean God has forgotten you. Maybe someone else's story isn't taking anything away from yours. And maybe the God who made the promise is still working—even when you can't see it yet.
