Power Belongs to God7. Sept.32 Min.

Gina texted her brother Troy one verse and it turned into this whole conversation. Psalm 62:11 says God hath spoken once, twice have I heard this, that power belongeth unto God. So her question is simple, and it is not comfortable: if the power is already His, why do we keep handing ours to everybody else?
They work through the honest answers. Fear of what He might ask us to give up. Impatience, because people answer today and God often does not. The habit of taking a promise the way we want it instead of the way He meant it, which Troy admits cost him years. Gina talks about starting a fast with one request in mind and hearing God tell her to put it down and just get closer.
The conversation keeps circling back to one thing. Most of us never take anything to God because we have no prayer life at all. Gina is honest about the years she spent at church every time the doors were open, teaching Sunday school, singing, serving, and never once actually talking to Him.
Scripture in this episode: Psalm 62:11, 1 Samuel 30:8, Philippians 4:7.
If this one meets you where you are, share it with someone who needs it and follow the show so you do not miss next Monday.
Follow along: @YouSayPodcast
