François Cevert: The Tragic Story of Jackie Stewart’s Protégé

Instead, it raises so many questions: What happens when a person dies just as their life seems to be falling perfectly into place? And how do the people who loved them make sense of a loss that has no satisfying explanation?

#F1 #formula1 #F1history #motorsport #motorsporthistory #jackiestewart #francoiscevert #flyingscot #tyrrell #teamtyrrell #usgp #usgrandprix #racing

To find out more about Deadly Passions, Terrible Joys: https://linktr.ee/deadlypassionsterriblejoys

Subscribe on Substack: https://deadlypassionsterriblejoys.substack.com/

Follow DPTJ on BlueSky: @deadlypassions-pod.bsky.social

Follow DPTJ on Instagram: @deadlypassionsterriblejoys

Follow DPTJ on Twitter/X: @terriblejoy_pod

Watch on YouTube: @eliz_blackstock

Follow Elizabeth Blackstock on BlueSky: @elizablackstock.bsky.social

Follow Elizabeth Blackstock on Instagram: @elizablackstock

Follow Elizabeth Blackstock on Twitter/X: @eliz_blackstock

Order Racing with Rich Energy: https://mcfarlandbooks.com/product/racing-with-rich-energy

Bibliography

A Contract with Death by Jean-Claude Hallé

Winning Is Not Enough by Jackie Stewart

https://web.archive.org/web/20160214012157/https://silodrome.com/ronnie-peterson-f1-documentary/

https://www.nytimes.com/1973/10/15/archives/jackie-stewart-ends-driving-career-while-champion.html
