<p>Proverbs 3:5-12 calls us to a kind of trust that is total, not partial. Most of us trust God with some areas of life while quietly holding onto control in others, but that is still self-reliance. Leaning on our own understanding produces pride, anxiety, and misdirection, because our perspective is limited and our emotions are unstable. God&#39;s ways will not always make sense to us, and that is precisely the point. Faith is not having all the answers before we move. It is acknowledging God first and allowing clarity to come through obedience. He disciplines those He loves, not to reject us, but to form us into the image of Jesus. Real trust begins when we stop making ourselves the authority and surrender fully to the One whose ways are higher than ours.</p>
