The Beatles feature quite prominently in this episode’s Guest Star segment, with Ringo Starr making a memorable early appearance in Season 2 and Paul McCartney popping up to make Lisa’s day in Season 7 – complete with wife Linda in tow. The Ringo episode also includes two iconic movie references picked up by Michael’s pop culture radar and included in our Hidden Gems segment.

Having debated last time whether Bart was good or evil, we now shine our Spotlight On Springfield on someone who is very much on the side of the angels – Maude Flanders. We talk about her plain vanilla character, her marriage to Ned, her devotion to God, morality and judging others, and her untimely death on the business end of a t-shirt gun.
