But Tommy doesn&#39;t know that. Determined to make his band&#39;s big break happen, Tommy takes off with his friends on a cross-country trip from Kansas City to Los Angeles, racing against the clock to make it to the show. What follows is a wild road trip filled with music, mayhem, crazy adventures, and plenty of trouble along the way. The movie is inspired by Green Day&#39;s early years touring in a van, before the band exploded onto the music scene with Dookie.
