Episode 133: Silent Running 1972 & 1985

Silent Running is an interesting film. To me, it loses some potency by trying to chase too many plots in the same movie. Is it about environmentalism and conservation? Is it about isolation and dependence on robots to deal with ennui and loneliness? Somehow it tries to do too much. BUT: each theme is even more relevant now than in 1972.
