Good afternoon, I'm _ with today's episode of EZ News.

Tai-Ex opening

The Tai-Ex opened up 36-points this morning from yesterday's close, at 47,142

on turnover of 8.5-billion N-T.

The market ended lower on Tuesday, largely due to a lack of guidance from

Wall Street, as U-S indices were closed on Monday for a holiday.

The index initially posted solid gains, but soon turned lower, as investors

opted to stay on the sidelines (保持觀望).

However, market heavyweight Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing remained

resilient (表現穩健的；有韌性的) and closed the day in positive territory, to stop the

broader market from falling further.
