Frontline Updates 0109: Zaporozhye Settlements, Deep Strikes, and the Degradation of Ukrainian Electronic Warfare
Welcome to Frontline Updates. This episode covers Combat Briefing Number 0109, dated 01 September 2026. Colonel A.C. Oguntoye joins us to assess Russian operations across six operational sectors, including East Group’s liberation of Chervonaya Krinitsa and Dnepr Group’s liberation of Novopavlovka in Zaporozhye region. The briefing reports total Ukrainian personnel losses of 1,325 across all sectors. Deep-strike activity hit 156 locations, including logistics centres, energy and transport infrastructure, UAV assembly workshops and depots, and temporary deployment areas. Air defence shot down 13 guided aerial bombs, one U.S.-made HIMARS projectile, and 1,050 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles. We go sector by sector, examine the aviation deep-strike campaign as a campaign-shaping domain, and close with the tactical and strategic implications.
