Jesus Never Said That Series Ep 9 of 10: "Does God Just want you to be Happy?"

Does God just want you to be happy?

It sounds right. It sounds encouraging. You may have even heard Christians say it:

“God just wants you to be happy.”

But…did Jesus actually say that? 📖

In Episode 9 of JESUS NEVER SAID THAT, we tackle a difficult question:

❤️ Is happiness bad? No.

🙏 Does God care about our joy? Absolutely.

🤔 But is our immediate happiness God’s highest priority?

Because what happens when something makes us happy…but takes us further away from God?

What happens when what I want and where God is leading me aren’t the same?

Jesus didn’t simply tell His followers to chase whatever made them feel good. He said:

“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” — Luke 9:23
