82. from struggling with confidence to building a $1.3M business teaching it w/ madi maple
okay this episode is with one of my favorite human beings, amazing friend + literally the QUEEN OF CONFIDENCE, madi maple ♡
and we went EVERYWHERE lol.
madi shares what confidence actually looked like before she became the person we see today — growing up feeling like there was something inherently wrong with her, constantly filtering herself, dimming herself + feeling guilty for the things she genuinely liked.
we talk about how confidence is NOT something that just naturally came to her. it's something she had to build. and how the same work that helped her stop hating herself is the work that eventually helped her build a 7 figure business.
we get into how she started her business before she even really knew what the coaching industry was, recording her first podcast like 15 TIMES, listening back while she was doing DoorDash + absolutely ripping herself apart 😭 until she finally said fuck it and PUT IT OUT.
and instead of obsessing over funnels, positioning + trying to look like an authority… she started helping people.
"how can i serve people?"
free coaching. free masterclasses. free ebooks. talking to people. actually CARING about people.
which turns into a whole conversation about something i think the online business world desperately needs to hear: sometimes you actually have to put in the fucking WORK and build something brick by brick.
we also talk about why being fully yourself is one of the best things you can do for your brand — even the weird, silly, spiritual, partying, festival-going parts of you.
because how are you supposed to attract SOULMATE CLIENTS if the version of you they're meeting online isn't even really you???
and then somehow we end up in one of my favorite stories of the entire episode LOL — madi breaking off her engagement, selling everything she owned, packing a suitcase + booking a ONE-WAY FLIGHT TO COSTA RICA because she knew she needed to go experience a completely different life.
