JTG MINI: The weird process of buying a Birkin Bag (AKA 'The Hermès Game')

You can walk into an Hermès store with 20 grand in cash, ask for a Birkin bag, and they will say no. Because Hermès doesn't sell you the world's most coveted handbag, Hermès decides if you DESERVE one. Hopeful customers spend years (and tens of thousands of dollars) buying scarves, blankets and homewares first, stuff Hermès clients literally call 'garbage', all in the hope of one day being invited to spend another 15 grand on a bag. It's called The Hermès Game, and thousands of people are playing it right now.
