Build Your Bible Habit-Proverbs Chapter 1414 Jul5 min

Welcome back to Build Your Bible Habit, where you can read along to an audio chapter of Proverbs. Be sure to visit the entire Proverbs audio library HERE to access all 31 chapters.

Here's a verse from Proverbs 14 that serves as a relationship preservative: "He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly." (Proverbs 14:29)

Learning how to control our tempers is related to the character qualities found in the fruit of the Spirit: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23)

The next time you're tempted to blow up all over someone, press pause in your soul and be "slow to wrath." It is wisdom in action.
